Well, this is very exciting! My first post on the Room 8 blog – you won’t be surprised that I wanted to talk about books. One of the things I am missing most is the chance to natter about books with you all. I loved those bits of the day when we would hear about what people were reading and dip into the blurbs of new books.

I have been reading the ‘Who Let the Gods Out?’ series by Maz Evans. I have read them before (with Max, when he was younger) but have been rereading them. They are brilliant – an amazing mixture of laugh-out-loud-funny, exciting adventure and emotionally complex story lines.

I have no idea why there are two pictures of Maz Evans – I will try and work that out. I am a blog newbie!
