Dear parents,
Longden Football Competition
On Thursday 10th November, we took two squads (Y3/4 and Y5/6) to Longden to compete in a football competition against teams from local schools. It was a very windy day and rather muddy, a large contrast in conditions to what we will see at the World Cup over the coming weeks!
Both teams played fantastically well together, worked hard, encouraged others and were very respectful towards officials and opposition players. I am pleased to say that both of our squads won their respective competitions and took home the medals as well as their certificates! Thank you to Mr Lowrie-Herz and Mrs Randles for their support on the day. Also, a huge thank you to Mrs Roberts (parent) for coming along to offer her footballing expertise and very kindly taking the Y5/6 kits home to wash.
I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the children work so hard at both events so far and I am sure this will continue in future as we aim to involve more and more pupils over the coming months.
Mr Rogers
