Wednesday 10th June

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well and ready for today’s thinking and learning.

We will start today with a little recap of 2D shapes for our morning maths.

Use the geoboard and the elastic bands just as we would in school to make 2 different squares, 2 different rectangles, 2 different triangles, 2 pentagons, two hexagons, 2 octagons and if you are feeling brave, 2 heptagons.

You could take it further if you wish and make symmetrical shapes and non symmetrical shapes.

If you want to make it really tricky, you could make 2 different non symmetrical octagons.  Have fun.

English:

Yesterday you did an amazing job researching your chosen creature.  Today we are going to finish that research.  You have 3 sections of your plan to fill in.  Habitat, diet and interesting facts.

Just like we did yesterday, using books, the internet and television programs, make notes for your creature report.  Just in case you need them again, here are the sheets.

Please can you practise your spellings.

Have a little time reading your book and then relax and share this one.

Wednesday afternoon is our science afternoon.

Today I’d like you to watch this video showing the 4 seasons of spring, summer autumn and winter. Have a look at the changes that occur and talk about them.

I’d like you to get a bit creative this afternoon.  Draw, paint, collage, make a piece of artwork that shows all 4 seasons and how they are different.  If you need inspiration, look at the gallery below.

Have fun everyone.  Let me know how you are getting on or if there is anything you need.
