Hi everyone. Here are our activities for Thursday morning:

8.45 – 9.00: Practise spellings

9.05 – 10.00: Maths

Today we are counting on in 2s, 5s or 10s but not necessarily in terms of multiples. The 100 square that I attached yesterday will help with this task today as you will need to be able to count on from any starting number. I am attaching two different sheets, as one is easier than the other. Have a careful look at the gap between the numbers as you go and try to identify what the pattern is: BusyAnt_y1_u9_w1_PG_S4 (easier); BusyAnt_y1_u9_w1_HG_4 (harder).

10.00 – 10.15: Break

10.15 – 11.00: English

We are going to look at the beginning of the fairy tale, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. Watch the video clip and then describe the character of Jack in this part of the story. You may want to draw Jack and write words, phrases and sentences around him. Think about what he looks like, how old he may be, how he feels, what sort of life he has and where he lives. You may also like to draw Jack’s house. Would it be full of nice things? Jack and the Beanstalk part 1

11.00 – 11.15: Phonics

We are continuing to revise Phase 5. Complete the Jack and the Beanstalk sheet using the correct spelling: JackAndTheBeanstalk Then have a go at the quiz: Fun With Phonics Quiz

11.15 – 11.30: Break

11.30 – 11.40: Mindfulness Peace Out balloon

11.40 – 12.25: PE
