Thursday 2nd July

Well good morning everyone,  thank you again for all of your hard work yesterday.  I have to say, you are doing an absolutely amazing job.

Morning Maths:

You know the routine by now.  Let’s warm up our fantastic brains and get them working.  Today, time!  Telling the time is a really important skill. Have a little go at this game.  Choose the skill level that is right for you.

Maths:

Today you are going to be counting coins. It might be a good idea to ask if you may borrow some  coins again, this will help you with recognition and counting.

Here are today’s sheets.

English:

One of the things I love to do everyday is to read.  I read lots  of different books. Some to my children, some just to myself.  At the moment, I am reading Matilda by Roald Dahl to my girls at bed time.

What do you like to read?  What is your favourite book?  Have a look at your bookshelf at home.  Which books catch your eye and why?

As I have already said, one of the things we do a lot of in school is share books and different texts.  Today I’d like you to do a review of your favourite book.  Why do you like it? What is it about? Who else would you recommend it for?  How many stars would you give it?  Send us a picture of your book review and I will print it out to go into our Reading Area.  That way we will have some great ideas for new books to read ready for when we all return to school.

Book Review

Now have a little listen to this…

This afternoon I would like you to let your imagination run wild…Imagine you could go anywhere in the world, with anyone you choose.  Where would you go and why?

If I could go anywhere in the world, I would take my family to Norway to see the northern lights. I have always wanted to see them and, despite trying, have never actually seen them.  I would love to.

This afternoon I’d like you to draw, paint or write about a place you would love to visit and why.  What would you do there?

Let us know how you get on, we love seeing your emails and getting to know you a little better.

Have a lovely day everyone.
