Thursday 11th June

Good morning, I hope you are all having a lovely week.

Maths

Today, please continue with White Rose Maths, lesson 4. White Rose

English

We would like you to write a diary entry as Perseus over the next two days, please. A diary entry has the following features:

  • Written in an informal style as though you are talking to someone.
  • Includes opinions as well as thoughts and feelings as well as facts.
  • Written in the first person so use first person pronouns eg I, me,
  • Includes rhetorical questions and exclamations.

Begin the diary entry by writing about how furious Perseus felt about his Mother, Danae, being captured by Polydectus and how he was sent on a quest. I wonder if he felt excited or nervous about this? Then meeting the Gods and the things they gave him. You can then use some of your description of Medusa, from earlier in the week, to explain who you were trying to find. You can use your storyboard to help you too.

Examples of how to start could be:

  1. Today, did not begin well!
  2. You won’t believe what happened to me today!

Art

It was lovely to hear some of the thoughts you had for your Mini-Greek Art project. In school, we planned and started to make some papier mache Greek pots. This week, I’d like you to make a start on your own creation.
