Further to Mr Langford’s previous post regarding children arriving at school unsupervised, we must again bring this to your attention. There have been several incidents reported, such as unsupervised children playing in the road in between our school and Mary Webb near where the buses park; and even younger children being left at the school entrance to wait unaccompanied until school opening time.
It is the responsibility of parents to manage and safeguard their children before the school opens at 8.45am. We are also reinforcing the message that all our pupils need to behave courteously, sensibly and safely as they wait for school to open in the morning. We are deeply concerned about this and would appreciate being notified of any incidents observed before school via the office staff.
If children are repeatedly at risk because of their own behaviour or lack of adequate supervision, this may become a safeguarding issue that requires us to take further action.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
