LO: To investigate the strength of magnets.
The attached PowerPoint and worksheet uses paperclips to investigate how strong an individual magnet is. If you don’t have paper clips but do have a magnet you could investigate this using a magnet and magnetic coin. Start by placing one piece of paper between magnet and coin to see if the paper is trapped. One by one add pieces of paper until the magnet can no longer attract the coin. You could then compare this with another magnet, if you have one, and plot your results on the bar chart.
