The old paper £10 banknote featuring Charles Darwin will cease to be legal tender on Thursday 1st March 2018.
You have just a couple of weeks left to spend the old cotton-paper £10 notes before they cease to be legal tender! After the 1st March 2018 deadline, you can no longer use them in shops or here at school.
That doesn’t mean they’re worthless though. It simply means you’ll need to take them to your bank or building society (you have to be a customer) or pay it into your account at your local Post Office.
