Monday’s work

I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend especially as the weather was so good.

A Monday brings us maths, English, history, ICT and music.

The links on the following pages are just suggestions. For instance some children may choose to carry on with their book. I am very aware that some children are finding it difficult to stay motivated and others like the routine of sticking to our timetable. It is absolutely fine to let the children mix’n’match.

Some children are really motivated by sport so when I suggest researching something they are finding information about a particular football club. Others really like gardening so are doing experiments to see what makes plants grow the best. Spending such a long time together might be an excuse to research your family tree – I am sure grandparents would love the chance to have long conversations with the children about their parents and grandparents.

You, as parents, know your children better than anyone else. If your child has a particular interest in something they can do an incredible amount of work around it.

If they are reluctant to put something on classroom but want to show me what they are doing they can email me.

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I am in school working with the key worker children so there will be times during the day when I won’t be able to respond straight away but I will certainly be able to catch up at lunch time and after school has finished.

Have a fantastic week.      Morris.N@pontesbury.shropshire.sch.uk
