Secondary Education

Children at the age of 11 years (end of Year 6) transfer to local secondary schools. Secondary schools consist of Key Stage 3 (ages 11-14, years 7-9) and Key Stage 4 (ages 14-16, years 10-11).

Most children transfer to the Mary Webb School & Science College, Pontesbury. Some children transfer to schools in Shrewsbury or Bishops Castle. During September parents of children in Year 6 will receive details of the Local Education Authority’s transfer arrangements.
