History

Yesterday I asked the children to look at powerpoints to do with The Romans, Stuarts and World War 2. I want them to continue working on these areas today.

If they are completing their own project that is fine.

Romans. Tell me all about what life would be like being a Roman soldier, tell me the good things, bad things, training, formations etc. Try to write in full sentences and even try to use paragraphs. They can use yesterdays powerpoint to help them Roman army powerpoint or do extra research to make it even better.

Stuarts. Tell me all about what Christmas was like in Stuart times. Use a paragraph to tell me about before the civil war and another about during the civil war. Include Christmas being banned!!! Write a final paragraph saying how these times are the same or different to our way of celebrating Christmas. Use Christmas with the Stuarts to help you

World War 2. Use the Children in the second world war powerpoint to help you. Look at the evacuation slides. Tell me the good and bad things about evacuation in full sentences. Then write about how they would feel if being evacuated. They might do it as a diary entry or as a letter home having being evacuated for a few days.

If the children want to try other things instead of these challenges that is fine but it would still be nice to hear from them to know what they are doing.
