Friday 20th March

Apologies for the delay on getting this on the website – a few teething problems with scheduling posts!

Since we missed Forest School this week, it might be a good opportunity to get out into the garden and have some fresh air.

You could collect sticks, leaves, flowers and anything else you could find to make pictures on the floor. Some ideas for the pictures you could make are:

  • your favourite dinosaur
  • a tree
  • a minibeast
  • a picture of yourself!

Afterwards you could do your Forest School Diary. Remember that we draw a picture of what we have done and write a sentence about it.

Letters and Sounds:

Can you practise writing the tricky words – the, no, into, my, he, she, me, be. Can you write any of the words without looking at them? Can you think of any sentences with these words in? Write the sentences down if you want to challenge yourself!

Maths:

Carrying on with our capacity work, can you choose a couple of different containers in your house and compare how many objects each of them hold. You could count how many spoonfuls of water you can fit in or how many of your toys (pieces of Lego, Duplo, dolls, beads etc.)

Again, find time to enjoy a book and have a play!

If anyone would like to contact me over the time off, then please feel free to email me on roberts.b@pontesbury.shropshire.sch.uk
