The NKF (National Kidney Federation) support the 3 million people of all ages with kidney disease, sadly most kidney patients cannot eat chocolate, and for a child this must be such a punishment, each year we ask people if they would like to take part in Choctober where we give up chocolate for the month of October.
Not only this is a great opportunity to raise some vital funds to support kidney patients, but it highlights just one of many things kidney patients have to sacrifice in their life with this appalling disease.
Last year many schools took part and used it to promote a healthier diet and make children think how lucky they are to be fit and well.
The NKF would like to thank you on behalf of kidney patients and carers throughout the UK and wish you good luck with the Choctober Challenge.
Do you fancy taking the challenge on?
If you don’t want to collect sponsorship, you could always save up the money that you would usually spend on chocolate and donate that?
