Please can you read a little more of your reading book.  If you have finished your reading book, pick one of your favourites from home.

For our English, we are going to re-read our newspaper text.

Can you remember what those tricky words mean?  Can you explain them to someone at home.

This time as you read through you will need some coloured pens.  Can you highlight:

  • all capital letters that start a sentence
  • all capital letters that are for names – proper nouns
  • all full stops.
  • what other punctuation can you find – can you explain why it is being used?

Can you do you daily mile, you can do this by jogging around your living room or your garden.

This afternoon we have our ‘Mr Potato Head Time’.  We have all worked so hard that we have earned every bit of Mr Potato Head.  You can share this with us too. You can snuggle up and watch a movie, play with your toys, do some art. Whatever you like doing best!

I just wanted to say we have had another

week of having an arithmetic test but

everyone has improved for their first scores

I hope everyone is as proud of them as I am

PE days

This term we will be having two PE sessions. There will be a longer one with crossbar which will be on a Friday afternoon. I will then lead another shorter session on a Wednesday. On these two days the children are to come in to school wearing their PE kit.

I hope everyone enjoys the weekend – I look forward to seeing the children on Monday morning.

Here are some ideas for work that you could be doing whilst you are isolating at home.  You can pick and choose the order you do them in, what and when, just make sure you have fun while you are learning.

For your art work, you were going to draw and paint the monsters carved on the front of Viking boats.  Here are a few pictures to give you some ideas.  Have a good look at these and then design your own.

Maths

Today we are looking at counting to 10 and 20 using what we already know and any number patterns we know such as counting in 2s or 5s.

Have a go at this game with an adult to get our brains working. Can you count in 2s up tp 20? You may have played this game in class before! counting in 2s and 5 game

Once you have played the game, complete these 2 worksheets. If you complete the counting to 20 sheet and found it easy, with an adult can you count to 30?

PSHE

Today we are speaking about being responsible and how does it look to show you are a responsible person?

Can you think of a time you have had to be responsible? It could be helping your parents put the dishes away. Either today or over the weekend, can you do something with an adult where you have to be responsible?
