Spellings and ebooks

Thank you for the fantastic effort for continents day yesterday! The class looked amazing in all of the creative outfits. They had a great time learning about Africa, our class continent.

I’ve put spellings in the books for everyone, thank you for helping ensure your child has their red book with them on a Friday, it makes the process much quicker! There are a few loose flyers to go home this week that should be inside this too.

I’ve assigned everyone a book on Bug Club based on the sound that we have been learning this week. I’ve shown the children so they know the book but I will try to add it on here on a Friday so that you know the name of it.

This week’s book is: Baby-sitting Barney.

Thank you for your ongoing support, have a lovely weekend.

Compositing Workshop

The children were great during our composting workshop today. The plants they have come home with are called Poached Egg Plants. They learnt about Peat Bogs and the people running the workshop explained to them that there is a Peat Bog you can visit in Shropshire. It’s called Wixall Moss and is between Wem and Whitchurch.

Spellings

This week I haven’t sent any spellings home as it is the camp next Thursday and Friday. I will send them home with the children next Friday (6th) for the following week. Hope you have a lovely bank holiday weekend.

Thank you,

Mrs Crane
