When you look at the overview for the term you will see we should be working with bulbs this week. I can not expect you to have all of the equipment at home for this so I will save it until we are back in school.

Instead we are going to work on dissolving.

To help explain this there is a Lesson plan to follow.

Look at the lesson plan so you can gather your materials.Then you need to watch the PowerPoint. If you prefer you can watch it with me at 1:30 when I will be doing the lesson with those in school.

You will then start the experimentsand then fill in the soluble or insoluble activity sheet. Do not worry if you have not got all of the materials. If you want to try some different ones you can.

This is all that you need to do. If you are feeling brave you can now use the Dissolving Investigation Activity Booklet to make your own investigation. Does it make a difference if the temperature changes? Does the container make a difference? Does there become a time when you can not dissolve all of the substances?
