Our overall target for English is to try and produce a radio broadcast or a video broadcast about the feelings of children during our current situation. If any child feels confident to try to work ahead on this they can do so. They will be able to work on their own or with others via teams.
Before we can do this we need to look at different styles of journalistic writing.
Last week we looked at the features of a newspaper. Today we are going to be looking at the features of a diary entry.
Features of a diary report is text that the children need to find the specific features. They can either do this online, print it out or write some of the examples into a word document.
Later in the week the children will look at grammar skills with diary writing, plan their own diary entry and then write this up. We will also complete a reading comprehension on a diary.
