This week we have been working on science-fiction stories. We read a great example of a short story in which two boys spot a UFO. We then used that story model to develop our own short stories.

In maths we have focused on fractions. We are learning to find fractions of amounts e.g. 2/5 of 40. We have also been learning to recognise and generate equivalent fractions and are beginning to be able to compare fractions. This video is quite useful for reminding us about some key concepts that underpin equivalent fractions:
