For our PE based activities this afternoon, we are going to be looking at two very cool things to do. The first one is the bottle flipping challenge and the second is having a go at making your own stadium!
Bottle Flip Challenge

How do you think these children got so good at bottle flipping? Yes, they have practised a LOT! To get good at any sport or game you have to practise!
If you want to have a go at this, it may be a good idea to practise outside so that you do not get water everywhere or risk breaking any ornaments! Make sure you have lots of space around you and be aware of others around you.
Can you do any of these tricks? For some of them you will need more than one bottle. If you do master any of the tricks, ask an adult or older sibling to take a video and email it to your teacher. I’m sure they’ll be amazed!
Make your own stadium
I’m sure you have enjoyed watching many sporting events on the TV and some of you may have been lucky enough to have actually attended an event and sat in the stadium or arena. If you have done either, then you will know that sporting stadiums are huge and built to accommodate a lot of visitors!
Have a watch of the video and/or the PowerPoint, or do your own research about different stadiums and marvel at how they are designed:

Can you have a go at making your own mini stadium using modelling materials of your choice? This task is likely to take you at least a couple of days as there are many things to consider before you even start building, like:
- seating for spectators
- having a big enough space for a sport to be played
- will your stadium have a roof?
- how will visitors get in?! You will need at least one door!
Maybe you have a favourite stadium. Now is your chance to have fun recreating this as a mini replica! If you have a Lego man collection, it could prove very helpful with this task!!
