Friday 15th May

It’s Friday!

You can take your spelling test on Sumdog – assessments. It’s really useful for us to see how well everyone has done. If you would rather ask someone to test you at home, that’s fine too.

For English today, we would love you to finish your Flat Stanley adventure stories, please. The ending is when the problem is solved. Use your planning and decide where your next paragraph will start. Please include some description, e.g 2 adjective sentences, similes and fronted adverbials. It’s a good idea to end your story with a sentence to tell the reader how the character’s life continued after the problem was solved. We can’t wait to read your finished stories!

Maths – Try these Nrich challenges – 2 levels of difficulty and a game to play with an adult.

Play with an adult:  https://nrich.maths.org/10072

There are many activities on this website, choose another challenge, if you wish.

Music – Have a look at the Sing Up website. If you scroll down to The Vertebrate Song you can listen to the song on the performance track then sing along with the lyrics to the backing track! It links nicely to our science theme. https://www.singup.org/singupathome/songs-for-learning/7-11

Topic – Do you know the names of any Greek Gods and Goddesses? Find out lots of facts about them from the powerpoint (up to slide 17) then have a go at creating your own fact files. Choose at least 2. I have included some examples of fact files here but you can make your own. If you like playing Top Trumps, you could have a go at making your own Top Trump cards!
