Today, I received a wonderful e-mail from a proud parent in regards to a couple of Year 3 girls who have done a very selfless and brilliant deed for the environment:
“Whilst playing in the park this afternoon, Isabel, Belle and Louise from Room 8 unfortunately saw a load of polystyrene, which they believed may have been dumped, floating in the stream. As a group, they decided to stop playing and instead go down to the stream to remove the rubbish to save the stream and any wildlife living in there. In the words of one of them,
“It’s plastic pollution – we need to get it out”.
This is a wonderful gesture and I’m sure that if we all did just a few small deeds/acts just like these eco-warriors every now and again, then the environment would be a lot cleaner and even more beautiful.
Well done girls!
