As Lesley Holder couldn’t make the last weeks lunchtime and after school choir clubs, she is going to make it up at lunchtimes this week getting ready for the Eisteddfod. Lesley will be in tomorrow Tuesday 19th for the soloists and Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st for the rest of the choir. All children that go to choir will need to have lunch early at 12noon on both days. Please could you let your child/ren know of these changes. Many thanks!
Minsterley Eisteddfod Information – *Letter from Lesley*
Dear Parents
Minsterley Eisteddfod is this coming Saturday and so we have a final week of preparation. I will be in school Tuesday lunch time for solo practise and then Wednesday lunch for full choir practise to make up for the time lost last week. Then Thursday lunch time and after school will be our final rehearsals.
For those entered into the Vocal Solo (class 5) you will need to be at Minsterley Parish Hall to register before we gather together at 8.30am to walk to Minsterley Primary School where the prelim will take place. Registration will involve payment for the solo class, £2.50 and the signing of consent forms. Please note it is now possible to pay with a card.
It is very important that the children are ready to gather with the Eisteddfod official at 8.30am as the prelim must start at 8.45 prompt because some children need to perform in order to be back in the main hall for other classes.
The solo class will be preformed under competition standards with an official adjudicator who will announce at the end of the class the six performers who will go through to the final which will be on stage in the main hall at 11.05am.
Please wear full school uniform, grey bottoms, royal blue sweat shirts with a white collar showing and grey socks or tights please with shoes, no trainers.
The choir will be performing in their class at 12.30pm so could you all be there for 12.00 noon so that we can gather, warm up, get ourselves in order and into the hall. Again, full school uniform please. You do not have to register or pay for this class, that has been covered by the school however there is an entry fee for all spectators (adults £6, children 18yrs and under £2.50, under 5’s free and a family ticket, 2 adults and 2 children £12).
Refreshments are available at the Parish Hall but no food or drink can be taken into the main hall.
Any inquiries please don’t hesitate to get in touch, many thanks Lesley
