Our harvest celebration is next Thursday (Oct 24th, 2pm). Parents are welcome to come along and join us. If you are at the service you can take your children home from church (please make sure their teacher knows) Children whose parents do not attend the service will be brought back to school for 3.15pm.
We will be supporting the Barnabas food bank and we are inviting everybody to bring something to school that will be taken to support the important work of this Shrewsbury based organisation.
At the moment the food bank are particularly keen to receive donations of
- Tinned Fruit
- Tinned Meat Pies
- Tinned Main Meals
- Toothbrushes / Toothpaste
- UHT Milk
- Bubble Bath
- Shower Gel
Other general donations which would be most welcome:
- Tinned sandwich meat
- (corned beef etc)
- Long life milk Semi-Skimmed – (high demand)
- Orange squash
- Custard
- Tinned rice pudding
- Tinned veg (carrots/peas)
- Tinned potatoes
- Pasta sauce
- Laundry powder/tablets
- Nappies size 5
- Baby wipes
- Toilet rolls
- Bags of crisps
Please send donations into school anytime next week (from Monday 14th October – Thursday morning 24th October).
Should any of our families ever find themselves in need of the Foodbank please speak to Mr Langford or Mrs Rowe (confidentially) and they can make a referral.
