How did you get on with half past?! Even trickier than o’clock, isn’t it?! Don’t worry – you’ll get there!
Here are some activities for this afternoon:
1.30 – 1.50: Reading skills (sort of!)
Use the alphabet cards to sequence the alphabet. This will take quite a bit of paper and ink, so you may want to print several to a page! Alphabet cards
Alternatively, write each letter of the alphabet in your book or on a piece of paper. Copy each of the letters carefully, and write both the capital and the lower case version.
1.50 – 2.50: Computing
Continuing on from last week where we were inputting a sequence of commands into a program, have a go at the following activity. It involves installing an app, but it is totally free. The app is made by Fisher-Price, so can be trusted! I’ve never used it myself so I’ll be interested to hear how you get on and whether you recommend it. I may have a play on it myself this afternoon! Think & Learn Code-a-pillar App
If getting the app is tricky, or if you prefer, here is a paper based activity where you sequence the arrows to help the mouse get to the cheese. Programming
2.50 – 3.15: Daily Mile/Outdoor games
Time yourself doing different activities! How about skipping or jumping, star jumps or side-stepping? Or go for a really good walk with an adult if you are able to do so!
Thanks for all your emails. Everyone seems to be working really hard! I’m so proud of you all.
