The two course hot meal with a choice of main and dessert currently costs £2.00 (price from September 2012).

From September 2014 all children in EYFS/KS1 will be eligible for a free school dinner (UIFSM – Universal Infant Free School Meal). We do ask parents who would be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) to complete a form so your child, and the school benefit from the additional pupil premium funding, even if they are entitled to the UIFSM. Please see the office staff for a form or if you have any questions.

Parents are encouraged to pay for school dinners by cheque (payable to Shropshire Council) either weekly, monthly or termly. Any credits will be carried forward into the next week/month/term.

School DinnersThe fresh meat used in dishes is provided by local butchers, from local livestock to improve service, quality and the environment by reducing the distance the food travels.

Vegetables may change to reflect seasonal availability, and organic produce is now available on a weekly basis

School DinnersShropshire school meals is working closely with the Soil Association to increase the use of organic produce wherever possible.

Waste cooking oil is collected from school and converted into bio diesel.

Packed Lunch

Packed LunchAs an alternative to school meals, children are able to bring in packed lunches which they can eat in our school hall alongside those having cooked meals. We ask parents to consider health and nutrition in the preparation of the packed lunches.
